Was seated on the patio! It was great experience on a sunny day. Needed to wait a bit for the food to come out. Seafood pasta and the pork knuckle were great. Paid parking outside but not too many spots.
Reserved a table online a week ago. Family dinner with my parents. Only 3 minutes walking from resort. It's not the first time eat Germany food in Canada and their pork hock is the best. We also had vegetarian pasta and escargot. Dark beer is also perfect. Service and environment are good. The only thing is the outside tables with view cannot be reserved even though you put notes online.
First time I’ve been to the Black Forest since I was a kid and have to admit, it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My wife and I spent the weekend at Harrison Hot Springs, so while here we decided to go to the Black Forest restaurant. James, our waiter was great and the sampler dish we both had was awesome. The atmosphere was fun and the costs were reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody anytime. Topped off with a piece of delicious Black Forest Cake!!🍰
Delicious and authentic German fare. Best known for their schnitzel. Ask for yours in chicken if you prefer that over the traditional pork, they will happily substitute. Service was great. Sit on the heated patio in the winter and enjoy the lake view. Doesn't get much better than this.
This was our family's first get away since the pandemic. We felt safe dining in the restaurant. They scanned our vaccine passport and checked our IDs.Susanna totally made our evening! She looked after us so well, kept our water glasses and hot water filled.Her recommendation for the bratwurst schnitzel was spot on. So delicious 😋.The black forest salad was also a huge hit. The dressing was so light and delicious. Black forest cake was made in house..again very delicious.Will definitely visit again.
